The problem is there are no trusted intermediaries who can do things like reverse transactions when they’re discovered to be fraudulent. They should invent a version of Bitcoin that has something like that.

My read is a little different. The calculation that it is profitable to sell inference is predicated on two assumptions: 1. model creation is R&D that will produce durable pricing power, and 2. data center assets, continually upgraded, will produce profits greater than cost of capital for 10+ years.
