I just don't think it's true that the crisis is limited to the "core areas" of high cost cities. It is the entire commutable zone. The NY suburbs are eye-wateringly expensive. Same for Boston, LA, SF, Seattle, DC, and Miami.

I think we should still do YIMBYism everywhere so that rent can be cheaper even outside the 10 metro areas with the worst housing scarcity and so lots of people can have nice new homes in walkable neighborhoods; and I don’t think you’d disagree with that.

Dems shouldn’t take his calls and they absolutely shouldn’t listen to his policy advice. There are two sides here, folks. The pro-liberal democracy side. And the anti-liberal democracy side. El-Sayed is on the pro. Rogers is on the anti, as are all Republicans.
