Of courses, there was catsup. I had to take vitamins from then on. She wanted to kill me. I only told the truth. Once I got married and lived away then I had much better meals. My mother could cook but she really knew little about diet. Due to my poor diet, I started learning about food as a child.

I can relate. I had severe migraines as a child and my mother finally took me to the doctor. It was a severe iron deficiency. That needle was huge. It did hurt. The Doctor asked my mom what I ate for iron. He went into shock when I told him that my diet was mostly spam and processed deli meats.
