and like, my sense is that even the absolute worst gringo Spanish (or its equivalent in other non-English languages) is probably net beneficial when the candidate speaks it themselves because it shows you're trying and that you consider non-English voters important enough to speak directly to them.

I want to point out that she has spanish subtitles, something most candidates in equally diverse races routinely fail to do. That includes high profile dems in Texas.
