US culture's INABILITY to deal honestly with aging and death is part of why we are dealing with this. You are NOT getting cognitively and physically more healthy as you age. That's just not true. The lifecycle is progressive mental and physical decline. There is NOTHING wrong with this.

Last of the radar. They opened up the unused airbase runway (and all the surrounding scrubland/hidden, half collapsed military buildings) during Covid. But the radar, behind wire and blackberries, still has some mysterious job to do. I’ve loved it up here.
