As a previous staff member on e6, I'll just straight up say, yeah, it's owned by BD. I'll also add and say that 98% of staff on e621 DESPISE e6ai's existence and we have actively argued with the soulless corporate entity that is bad dragon to kill it.

Yes, e621 and e6ai are both owned by Bad Dragon. They keep our lights on, but the only common staff the two sites have are the BD staff that handle the infrastructure of it (since e6ai and many others run our e6ng software)

Its worth mentioning that e621 has a dedicated, handpicked team whose sole job is to investigate and remove AI content that has snuck onto our site. They are called Bladerunners, and they work very hard to keep the site free of posts masquerading as human made art.
