The continued reliance on BECCS in the reports particularly after the failure of cellulosic ethanol - which I think is an irreversible issue - has been problematic for me.

Important story. I know less about the CCS side of the equation, but I do know that the bioenergy part of BECCS won’t work at scale bc it drives up land competition with food production, timber production, & C storage. But BECCS is the “magic asterisk” that achieves negative emissions in models.
