Worth noting that IEEE were, let’s say, less than fulsomely transparent with journalists about what these studies were. Had to run a few Python scripts to identify these studies, why they’d been pulled, and the full total reported here (3,000 retractions so far this year).

Finally we compare the efficiency of natural selection to other learning processes. Spoiler: it's really, really good. And just why seems like a mystery. Usually when things in nature are good, I credit natural selection. But I can't credit natural selection with choosing selection. Can I?
