This early C1st AD fresco is touted as a Roman soldier & was found at the House of Valeriue Rufus in Pompeii. I’ll defer to experts but, if it is, it looks like one from an earlier time. I wonder if it’s maybe a figure from myth (based on various elements of Roman military garb). #FrescoFriday
