It was pretty neat! Reconnecting with a bestie I lost over a decade ago. And a trans girl I went to school with. She transitioned back in 2010 or so. I remember being so jealous she got to and I couldn’t. Surprise! Funny how many friends ended up being trans. We definitely gravitate to each other.

It’s been pouring since the alarm went off. Just sitting under the heated blanket, huskies all around me in the dark before the dawn. The sound of rain in the gutter and on the roof. I should have taken the day off… I could have relaxed like that until the rain stopped. A calm and quiet morning.

I often think back to before… the chaos and noise. The rush rush rush. While I miss companionship I don’t miss the fake urgency and drama. And husky cuddles are the best! Although better when they are dry, darned mud puppies and their love of puddles.
