I did not know him, but as a nerd/geek and lifelong fan of Star Trek, X-Men, and pretty much everything else Patrick Stewart did, this loss hits hard. Why are all of the people we want to live forever leaving us, whilst the ones everyone would be happy to see go still cling on?

Especially because it was Flavor-Aid, not Kool-Aid. While I'm sure some true believers willingly drank it, the vast majority of them, especially all the children, did not. However, the comparison of Jonestown and the MAGAt brigade is still apt. A cult is a cult.
