That saves us not just money but because our courts could not handle the volume of suits without QI, it affords us the opportunity to use the courts for anything other than frivolous lawsuits against cops and the govt. the criminal justice system for a wrong done by a rogue cop, a civil lawsuit is the last resort for victims or families of victims to find justice. QI sometimes gets in the way of that and cops aren't held responsible for their crimes. We need to replace this system, but not just do away with it.
