In most areas we'd recognize a call for regulations to strictly enforce and strengthen existing social hierarchies as repugnant illiberalism. But not in land use where you see this demand all the time.

Parking minimums kill small businesses, because how can you open a store / shop when you are required to add car parks? Not to mention it adds congestion and makes it more dangerous to walk/cross or cycle in the city. Increases emissions and reduces foot traffic for stores.
