Some prior art on this in Python: github.com/Zac-HD/hypot... I would generally recommend using PBT with a fuzzer for something like a PL. I've run hypothesmith with the atheris fuzzer before.

@hillelwayne.com Hi! Thanks for the property-based testing talk earlier this week. One question I had that I didn't have time to ask: how would you apply PBT to a entire programming language (i.e. the compiler or interpreter)? Or is fuzzing more appropriate for that?
