Systemic issues come from individual choices. Pretending that your vote washes your hands from the outcome is a fantasy that white people tell themselves when they are confronted with their culpability in enabling the systemic racism.
Show PostYou’re doing the classic “personal racism vs systemic racism” bit. Although let’s be honest, a lot of those white folks were. The white people who left could get loans to move into nicer areas - non-whites could not. Systemic racism.
