Luckily my cats have never had to experience that kind of hurt heh, worst they’ve had to go through from me is the occasional vet visit. But at the end of the day we’re all just animals you know. Animals who just need a gentle hand.
Show PostJust because the world has hurt me so much doesn’t mean my life has to be all hurt and nothing but hurt. Sometimes being gentle with a creature reminds me to be gentle with myself too. Because at the end of the day that’s all I am too… just a living thing that’s been hurt a lot.

Show PostThe reason why having pets is so good for your mental health is ‘cuz it feels nice to have a living thing you can be gentle to. And getting to see the way they respond to it, knowing they feel safe and trusting around you. Amazing stuff. 😩 They could never make a drug feel that good.
