It just feels like trans folks are expected to have every element of our transition journey available for the edification of cis folks. That's how people framed her transition: an opportunity for her cis male fans to learn about trans people. No one asked what her transition meant to her trans fans.

Like, when I go to her Wikipedia page, I want to learn about her music, and maybe some interesting factoids. There is no reason I need to know every aspect of her transition all arranged nicely for consumption by the general public.

Ok so I was on the Wikipedia page for Laura Jane Grace because I was wondering what she'd recorded recently. The article contains detailed descriptions of every element of her medical transition. I know she's open about these things, but to meticulously document it all on Wikipedia felt weird to me.
