Not using AI is a perfectly legitimate risk-management decision. Pretending that not using AI constitutes risk management is not. You still need to evaluate your dependencies, operational exposure, and ability to maintain the system.

I mean, granted, the industrialization of software production doesn't necessarily come with the industrialization of software assurance. But going your own way has its own risk profile. Control isn't the same thing as competence, and competence isn't the same thing as capacity.
