Actually a minor caveat to this is that I discussed this with my source some time ago, I'm not sure what the state of their team is currently but it's probably still pretty accurate

I'd like to add that the e6 staff (most of them anyway) are super against this too, they constantly complain to Bad Dragon about it but they can only do so much. I have this on very good authority, though I obviously can't name my source. Just something to keep in mind when protesting this! 💙

To clarify, e6ai is Varka's pet project. I think saying that e621 is complicit in this is stretching the truth a bit. They are both owned and hosted by the same company, but they are operated by different groups. The e6 team has taken many anti-ai stances and tried to enforce them over time.

The site is essentially Varka's pet project. I'm not sure how best to stage a proper protest against this because I see value in e6, and at least when I left a few years ago, it was very against AI content, or scraping of any kind. Good luck with this! I'd love to see the e6ai side shut down.
