This is key; that all of these debates happen virtually without reference to varied sleep patterns drives me insane. I just woke up at 7:45 AM here in permanent PCT. It's already light out. Shifting back would steal an hour of daylight from me, @quinn.yoyodyne-it.eu and all the other night owls. 🦉
Show PostIt’s less that I think we should have morning or evening light (what seems to matter is sunlight when you *wake up*, in any case). The bare fact that DST is contentious speaks to the diversity of sleep patterns that are flattened by the 9-5 default; my point is mostly to see it as a default.
