If I were a better artist I would devote my life to palæoart where dinosaurs did not look like magnificent creatures expressing the finest of their evolutionary heritage, but like raccoons dik diks capybaras and hamsters - spending life being magnificently vacant and farting about.

A little wannanosaurus staring into space gnawing while the only thing behind its eyes is the sound of a dialup modem not connecting. A Tarbosaurus laying down well-fed and slow as a family of tiny ceratopsians wander by and it licks one and burps, then back to sleep.

Imagining the ceratopsian trying furiously to wipe the tarbosaur spit off its face for the next half hour cos all its siblings think it smells bad. The wannanosaurus chased a leaf and standing looking vacantly across plains because it’s not entirely sure why it came over here and it’s so unfamiliar
