two days later, with final shadows and highlights, the piece is done! you can see i made a number of small and not so small additions in this final phase of the painting process, and learned a lot while doing it! she gave me some hassle but i’m so pleased with how this painting turned out

Wore different shoes yesterday. Did not realize how uncomfortable standard Vans have become for me. I love my gumsoles for their appearance, but I don't have teenage feet / ankles / knees anymore. (Plus I'm heavier.) I have insoles somewhere, but they might make the shoes too tight in the toe box

Not all police are doing this, but any police will shoot you if you seem to be resisting anything ICE says. And I guess any big arrogant violent men in masks we have to assume are Feds of some kind rather than defend our homes or families. A lynch mob at taxpayer expense.
