yeah!! nobody is like "Knuckles being a hardhead, naive, angry guy who likes to fight is a negative stereotype to men", even though it kinda is. Knuckles is easily tricked because he likes to trust people, because he has a strong moral center that he wants to see in others!

I understand why it happens, I understand you don't want your main girl character to embody negative associations w/ women & you want her to be more of a main action hero, but I think the result often ends up being a boring non-character, stuck in limbo, afraid of being anything to not offend anyone
