on the way out, we discussed the work and he told me i was a good sport. i told him i'd changed my mind anyway. he stopped, put his hands on my arms, grinning ear to ear, and said... "oh thou! my lovely boy who in thy power doth hold time's fickle glass his fickle hour!" he was an amazing man.

Yesterday my linux updated to the latest kernel and broke my screen again too. I thought I was going to have to build everything from scratch again, but luckily this morning I remembered the advanced boot options and am able to boot to the old kernel from there.

First AO3 went down, and now somebody logged into my tumblr from the other side of the world. And now my app isn't working, so I'm trying to find another older version of the app that does work. SIGH WHAT A WEEK.
