Sometimes TV shows have subtitles for alien languages but I'm pretty sure Darmok is the only one that just spends 40 solid minutes actually teaching you enough of an alien language that you get to feel like a genius for being able to perfectly follow the 30 second sample conversation at the end

Darmok is an episode about how the most satisfying thing possible is when you learn a little bit of a foreign language on a trip and then you get to bust it out to successfully navigate a very basic short conversation
