They haven't been able to achieve their goal of dismantling entitlement programs via legislation, so they'll simply enact policies that result in large chunks of the labor market dying before they ever have a chance to collect the benefits they spend their entire working lives earning.

If all this has taught us nothing else, it's that most people never evolved intellectually or emotionally beyond high school. Everyone is running around shrieking that they want this & want that RIGHT NOW, but almost no one is thinking beyond that immediate desire to what happens if they GET IT.
