There is for sure some kind of gender issues going on with Ralsei. To the point where I don't really understand the people who don't see it, its obvious something is going on there.

It would also further the parallels between Kris and Noelle, whereas Kris seems to still feel societal pressure despite, on the surface, being accepted as nonbinary by the town (as shown by the Egg Man's segment in chapter 4). This post has been in my drafts for over a month so i'm just gonna send.

I think Noelle is already trans, and that her story (relating to gender) will be moreso about how the gender binary can still enforce itself upon trans people. This is mainly because while she has expressed desire to break out of her role akin to Ralsei, she has had less gender-fuckery.
