If both B and C had a blue hat, Andy would know he has a red one. But he doesn’t, so B and C must either have both red hats or a mix of red and blue. If C had a blue hat, then B would know he must have a red hat. But he doesn’t, so C must have a red hat.

Nice, concise and spot on, along with ways to address it. May I posit this will take time to correct. And could this be a result of access to larger faster confirmation bias bubbles, that pre-internet, SM, was confined to your local social group only? Couldn’t spread as fast to others?

Still, it’s a massive improvement over the state of the research presented in the 2011 book release! It’s much needed, especially because the book is so well-written otherwise. They really should make a revised edition.
