I do think a big reason Vivek’s awful ad did as much damage to him as it did is that a lot of his supporters are super racist and were already somewhat uncomfortable voting for a non-white dude

The least believable part of Ghostbusters 2 is when they’re pretending to be construction workers and the cops come heckle them, then the cops leave to fact check their credentials and actually come back because a) no cop works that hard and b) no one questions what you’re doing in a hi-vis vest
