If I'm actively looking to be easy I'll have fewer 'moving parts' in a clue, and more familiar vocab, more obvious indicators and synonyms, etc. You should just see how your natural cluing style turns out. As long as it's good-quality stuff, there's room for setters of all difficulty levels.
Show PostIt's a bit late by the time the Snitch data's up anyway! 😁 I sometimes have a sense of expected difficulty based on the vocabulary and how it 'felt' while cluing the puzzle, but it's not always right.
