Curious paradox that the very same people who say that our nation cannot possibly be responsible for the actions of our ancestors past... continue to bask in the reflective glory of wars that were fought long before any of us were born by people who are no longer here.

It's worth remembering that even if the Democrats win both houses of Congress and, in a couple of years, the Presidency, the US still won't be ratifying the 1998 Rome Statute to make its crimes against humanity answerable to the International Criminal Court. Exceptionalism is baked into its bones.
