Itch.io should take a stance and side with indies; ban or hide all slop. Hard to enforce for sure, but it's a strong message. I've personally had to disable all bot/agent access to my site, they were eating up my bandwidth, no donations, almost taking down my site for everyone. Why accept this?

Not that there wouldn't be issues with any ruling, but the great thing about banning AI slop from itch is that the AI people can just vibe code their own itch, and when it dies because the dev gets bored, it won't take out any game of value. Most devs won't even realize it happened.

getting tired of an argument i've seen the last few days that's roughly "what's the point, AI sloppers will just lie and say they didn't use AI." that's like saying "why have rules people are going to break them anyway". should we all just lay down and die then since everything is pointless anyway?
