I'm happy to have this moth ticked off now. There isn't any woodland near where I live, so I wasn't sure I would trap a December Moth. It's up in the air now whether I will continue trapping in the run-up to Christmas and for a few months afterwards. Any FOMO I had has now been dealt with. #teammoth

Well, today in a small piece of Oak woodland next to Morrisons in Burton-on-Trent (don’t ask 🤦‍♂️) I had another encounter with Diurnea lipsiella! At least 6 seen flying around in the pleasant afternoon sunshine. #Teammoth

Best two moths today were Psychoides filicivora and this mad looking Caloptilia. It's almost certainly semifascia, I have had the occasional one in the past like this. @dorsetmoths.bsky.social
