If you take an eDivvy for 10 minutes to ride 1.4 miles as a member, it costs $2.30, which in itself doesn’t seem all that cheap, but a non-member would pay $9.66?? That seems crazy

I think Divvy ebike rides are subject to the Chicago Personal Property Lease Transaction Tax which was increased to 15% January 1st, 2026. In the mayor’s budget they are looking to increase the rate to 20% 😭
