Oh I can think of several dozen papers along these lines re ai. I considered a matters arising but there are too many, which prompted our research above and some ongoing work.

I’ve had eyes on this since an editor tried to force me to change results to align with his work for Twitter, Google and meta 3-4 years ago. It’s getting a lot worse with AI than social media.

I've heard about Aussie magpies. The ones here are much more chill. Still super smart, though. The one we get has full on conversations with our cat. They "ekekekekek" through the window at each other.
