Not only that, but they plainly saw this as so obviously correct, so undeniably right, that they were willing to risk the outcome of the 2024 election on it, reasoning that if it cost them the support of significant sections of the public, then that would be the public’s fault and not theirs.
Show PostI think the obvious answer is they saw it just fine and they continued anyway, because they too believe Israelis are real humans with lives and rights who matter, and they view Palestinians as some lesser form of being - orcs, zombies - that can and maybe should be treated with immense cruelty.
