Nice morning birding around Paphos, highlights were Cyprus warbler + wheatear, bonellis eagles, osprey, and chukar at mavrokolympus. And long legged buzzard, water rail, and spotted flycatcher at Agia Varvara. @birdsaroundcy.bsky.social

Show Post3 lifers so far in Cyprus taking me to 450 ✅ for the WP. Griffon vulture, whiskered tern, and Ménétries’ warbler. Greater sandplover, Bonellis eagles, heard only white-throated kingfisher, desert finch, Eleanoras falcon, water pipit and tree frog best of the rest.

Buff-breasted Sandpiper was not a species on my radar for Cyprus. Delighted to find one today whilst guiding a group around Larnaca - First record for Cyprus! A very smart bird, many years since I’ve seen one #cyprusbirds
