I think a great societal failure is that people who WANT to get pregnant are typically not informed well of the risks, instead they get told 'oh your body was MADE to do it! millions of women have done it throughout history so it's no problem!'

shrinks gray matter (reverses eventually), shortens telomeres (not reversible), can separate abdominal muscles beyond repair, childbirth itself of course can just tear apart the entire area, pregnancy can raise risks of strokes and brain aneurysms (can occur even after birth has been completed)
