Actually, it's not that "every day is incredibly hard"; it's that there are periods each day when I recall I've had this new darker darkness introduced to my life, and that my life now entails living alongside it. The enormity shakes me and I doubt my ability to cope, but It's a small % of the day.

Endoscopy this afternoon. Of all the medical interventions I've had lately, this is the worst. Only had it once before but it's pure horror. The nurse invited me to imagine I was drinking a cup of tea, are you bang-bang who drinks tea via a hose into their stomach? See you on the other side, kids.
