It is really demoralizing as a writer to hear people are just uploading fics that arent theirs willy nilly.. i guess this comes with having shared it digitally at all but like ugh. Cmon. Some folks have 0 respect for the humans behind art and creation of any type

As authors I think a lot of us have come to expect we just won't see as much engagement, and I suppose I can just deal with that, however to see this much of it and know it never gets back to us is disheartening. I will be posting my own fics over time and you are welcome to share my personal posts

Look, we are all struggling with AO3 being down, and I understand how difficult it can be losing the thing that brings us all comfort, especially in the dark world we live in, but sharing art of any kind without the consent of its creator is wrong. It takes the person out of the process.

After much thought overnight I am personally going to ask this: If I have not shared it and it's not a link that leads back to me, please do not share any copies of my fics. It's one thing for me to share it in my own way, another entirely to have it shared by someone else.
