To me that production is the very definitive adaptation. I can't see it ever being bettered.

I belong to the church of 1995 P&P which- crazy l know!- l didn’t watch until 2008, after reading the novel for the first time in 2002 (not being born in an English speaking country may have factored in, l first read it while living in US for 4 weeks on a study trip)
