Maybe part of this is investors staying invested to catch the assumed "typical" post-midterm-election relief rally. Plausible, sure, but the broad tape hasn't had the type of setback that on average precedes midterms. Also, 2018 happened (S&P 500 lost almost 20% Oct-Dec despite solid economy).

The stock market continues to treat the old June 2 high as relevant support for the current fitful multi-month sideways range. Obliteration in the core AI trade including GOOGL/AMZN continues to be largely offset - to an impressive, perhaps implausible degree - by rotation into non-tech "quality."
