Same as on Twitter. Still like K-pop, cranky cats, and that GIF of Jason Momoa opening the chair. Chronically online since 1991.

Friend of mine had her husband die tragically young, her message to everyone was MAKE A WILL. Took us longer than it should have, but that was a reason we didn't wait too long. OMG I can't remember if my 83-yo dad ever made his. Checking...
Show PostMy sister civil partnershipped her partner of 50 years in July. In September she died suddenly. They both had wills but did not realise that the CP instantly invalidated them. Be aware!
Show PostGlad to see someone knows about PoA for Health. Apparently, if it's not in place before you lose capacity, the court is unlikely to grant Deputyship because if you wanted someone to make health choices for you, you'd have put something in place.
Show PostOh, I had similar with a Power of Attorney. An absolute nightmare cos it wasn't set up properly. I'm single with no dependants and I've got different friends set up as PoA for finance and for health. Honestly, my only concern is that I don't suffer and my cats are looked after.
Show PostHaving dealt with the relatively simple (I.e. non contested) intestate of my late (separated) husband, I totally concur. And that was just national, not international. Still a nightmare to deal with when grieving. MAKE. A. WILL.
