Extraordinarily hot take, but I think this is good news for Abdul. If your main pain in the ass does a Hulk Hogan-style performative heel turn two days before your election, it just proves all of your opponents don't believe in anything. Even with the exciting Knicks championship, I think that what happened in the WNBA this year is far and away the best subject for a book. So many storylines, so much WTFness (remember Enes Kanter? Anyone?), so much drama and superior play. The book is just waiting to be written.
