Saihoji (Kokedera, the Moss Temple) 📍Nishikyo Ward, Kyoto 🌿 Founded in 731 by Gyoki, this Zen temple was restored in 1339 by Muso Kokushi, who created its garden. The grounds are covered in about 120 varieties of moss, & the garden is said to have inspired the Golden & Silver Pavilions.
