I'm cynical. The GC crowd may be foaming at the mouth, but they are the ones who have been given a free platform to speak with no apparent counter argument. *we* know their arguments point out the massive problems with the SC ruling, but their context is that everything else must fall in line.

Although nowhere near perfect, this Bill could be the line in the sand that trans people have desperately needed for the last few years, in the never ending race to remove our rights. GCs hate the idea that, if it passes in its current form, their unbridled hate of all things trans will have limits.

My mum, a fairly classic liberal boomer: “but Jan Morris transitioned in 1972, before you were born. Why is this news *now*?” (And my conservative grandma bought me a Jan Morris book and she totally knew Jan was trans.)
