My younger sister- 71- died this year from liver failure. She planned to go to a clinic in Switzerland but got debilitated & spent a month in Hospice. Christians like Mother Teresa want ppl to suffer. We need to have a RIGHT TO DIE PAINLESSLY WITH DIGNITY LAW. Pentobarbitol, not a bullet to brain.

I think the nurse probably knew that was the intent, but she went along with it because she could document that the patient had repeatedly asked for more morphine.

My dad died a few years ago from Parkinson's. His last couple of weeks were pure agony. He asked us to help him die so my wife (a Geriatrics NP) told him to keep asking the nurse for more morphine. Tell her you are in great pain. So the nurse loaded him up with morphine and he died in his sleep.

Mom died in a nursing home from Alzheimer's. Wife died in hospice from ALS. I am 82, lost a lot of abilities, friends & family, in chronic nerve pain & waiting for whatever takes me out. I DON'T WANT TO LINGER-will off myself when I've had enuf. Everyone Deserves that Right.
