I could be wrong on this. But for 2 years I wrote proclamations for the most devout Christian ever to occupy the White House. There is no way in hell Jimmy Carter would have put out a proclamation on Reformation Day. That is because he understood the separation of church and state.

The outgoing Alaska Governor's term ends on December 7, a month before Congress is sworn in, and the Democratic candidate is a shoe-in to win that race. If Dunleavy won't certify a Peltola win, his replacement will. Democracy will dodge a bullet here, but just barely.
