Not that it matters (the Hatfield/McCoy thing on here tires me), but I wouldn't even call him progressive. Some of what he was giving veered into red-brown, and mostly I didn't trust a word of it by the end. Rousing words and promises alone don't mean shit. What's he done? Nada.
