As a baby boomer, there is no inheritance after paying for exorbitant college tuition for multiple children, as well as living expenses for kids during those college years. Most of my cohort are still partially supporting adult children today.

I was explaining a very similar scenario to my adult children. What’s worse, my baby boomer parents were able to rent apartments, buy a car, and pay for college on minimum-wage jobs. There were even free colleges back then.

In 1975, I bought a house. I was 21. I was a car dealer mechanic and could easily afford the payments. It is unreal how much the working class has been fucked over in my lifetime.
